From booking Macy’s Santa Land to visiting The Met’s Japanese tour and seeing the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, this day was full of New York’s holiday magic.
My first full day in New York started with a visit to the famous grocery store Zabar’s and ended with an expensive meal from Shake Shack. I was amazed by the variety of goods—and the prices.
I flew from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to New York on American Airlines flight AA168. It was a rough start—long lines at security, limited lounge access, and a delayed flight—but the excitement of visiting friends in New York made it all worth it.
We spent our final day in Paris shopping for souvenirs at neighborhood supermarkets, enjoying a delicious course lunch at Café du Coin, and heading to the airport on the Roissy Bus via the Bonjour RATP app.
On our last day in Paris, we decided to climb the Eiffel Tower on foot, discovered a wonderful bakery called Maison Bergeron, and spent the afternoon surrounded by roses at Parc de Bagatelle.
We took a train from Gare Saint-Lazare to visit Monet’s house and garden in Giverny. Though the water lilies were few, the colorful flowers were breathtaking.
We spent a leisurely Sunday wandering through the lively Bastille Market, enjoying seasonal fruits, and taking a peaceful cruise along the Seine at sunset.
We spent our last morning in Barcelona exploring local cafés and markets before flying to Paris. At the airport, a cute shop called ALE-HOP surprised us with its low prices. Later in Paris, we found a charming ice cream shop that instantly became our favorite.
We spent the day exploring Barcelona’s beauty — admiring Gaudí’s Sagrada Família, enjoying local sweets, surviving the heat at Park Güell, and ending the evening with one of the best dinners of our trip.
Our first day in Barcelona began with a flight from Granada, followed by a visit to the Miró Foundation and a delicious seafood paella near La Boqueria Market. From art to food, it was a perfect start to our stay in Catalonia.
