On our last day in Hanoi, we visited St. Joseph’s Cathedral, enjoyed local desserts, relaxed by the rooftop pool, had unforgettable Chả Cá, tasted Tào Phớ, and ended the night with a massage.
We explored Hanoi’s Old Quarter under intense heat and humidity, visiting historic sites, wandering markets, and ending the night with chả cá and egg coffee.
It was my final morning in Nha Trang before heading to Hanoi. After visiting the market, swimming one last time, and navigating chaotic airport lines, I escaped to the lounge with Priority Pass. Later in Hanoi, an incredible dinner of chả cá saved the day.
I spent a relaxed day alone in Nha Trang, explored a lively market filled with famous-brand T-shirts, bargained for a good deal, enjoyed delicious hot-stone pho, and tried durian even though I’m not a fan.
We joined friends for a pampering spa day at Nui Spa, climbed through an ancient Khmer temple, witnessed a cultural dance, then ended the night with a lively hot-pot dinner — a perfect blend of calm and excitement.
I started the morning fighting my way across a crosswalk with no signals, felt the meaning of “eternity,” enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, visited Lotte Mart, spent time with friends, and ended the day with an oil massage.
On our final morning in Hanoi, we flew to Nha Trang, enjoyed the Priority Pass lounge, checked into our beachside hotel, and tasted delicious local dishes such as bánh căn and bánh canh.
On June 5th, we cruised Halong Bay under heavy rain, trekked an island, then after returning soaked, warmed up with bun cha and rich egg coffee in the city.
We spent June 4th walking through Halong’s bustling morning market eating tempura and fruit, then headed to Sun World Halong where we rode a cable car high into the hills and took in views from the Ferris wheel.
Using Priority Pass at Narita, flying to Hanoi on VietJet Air, and arriving in Halong for the first dinner of the trip — a slow and hot evening walk through town.
